Our Story
Progeny is an estimate analysis and validation resources consultancy company focused on assisting contractor companies in the oil & gas process industry to submit competitive bids. We do not believe that there are any competitors with the same or similar specific services we will focus on. A void exists for these contractors in having affordable third party resources available to assist them. Our success will come from earning client satisfaction and repeat client business based on our attention to client needs, details and importance of the results. Our specific experience and reputation cannot be duplicated.

Progeny is led by a lifetime estimator – Bruce E Bradley, CEP (Certified Estimating Professional) – working in his fourth decade, who learned from the ground up, exposed to material take-offs in all disciplines (earthwork, steel, concrete, equipment, piping, electrical, instrumentation, coatings, etc.). His entire career has served the Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) market, specifically in the Refining, Petrochemical and Gas Processing industries. He has advanced from a discipline estimator, to a lead discipline estimator, to a lead estimator, to an estimating supervisor, an estimating department manager, a regional estimating manager and a vice president of estimating. He has worked with hundreds of EPC company estimators, engineers, project managers, department managers, executive management and corporate management as well as the same positions within a multitude of global owner companies.

Bruce has experience developing estimates in all areas of the world inclusive of North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. Industry diversification is across upstream, midstream and downstream project’s ranging from minor maintenance level projects to multi-billion-dollar capital expansions, for both grass roots and brownfield facilities. His estimating capabilities have ranged from conceptual/rough order of magnitude to detailed/lump sum turnkey, inclusive of all Direct Costs, Indirect Costs, Home Office Costs, Miscellaneous Costs, Escalation and Contingency.

Bruce has an AACE Certified Estimating Professional (CEP) certification. A CEP is a professional with vital expertise to contribute to the economic evaluation of potential projects. By applying the estimating body of knowledge as outlined in AACE’s Recommended Practice 46R-11, the CEP evaluates costs of a determined scope of work to advise management on project funding decisions. The CEP’s ability to clearly communicate cost estimates, both verbally and written, to all project stakeholders is critical to their success. AACE Certification distinguishes estimating professionals who have the knowledge and skills to impact the bottom line.
